2026.06.03 Towngas Strengthens Community Bonds through “Glutinous Rice Dumplings for All” Initiative
The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Towngas) recently launched a meaningful community initiative titled “Glutinous Rice Dumplings for All,” aimed at promoting care, unity, and cultural heritage within the community. Our school was honored to be invited to participate, with 20 students actively engaging in the programme on 3 June 2026.
This cross-curricular activity brought together the Home Economics, English, and Chinese History Departments, offering students a rich and immersive learning experience. Through hands-on dumpling-making and guided exploration, students deepened their understanding of the Dragon Boat Festival and the historical and cultural significance of this traditional delicacy.
The initiative not only enhanced students’ culinary skills but also fostered a sense of community spirit and cultural appreciation, aligning with Towngas’ commitment to empowering the younger generation and strengthening social cohesion.
